The Hispanic Scholarship Consortium seeks highly motivated individuals who hold a vision for their future, meet their goals and are committed to their personal, professional and academic development to apply for the 2012 HSC Scholarship Program. The program goes beyond traditional services and offers empowerment through scholarship, mentorship and leadership and is open to graduating high school seniors, undergraduates and graduate students.

HSC is a consortium of several organizations and individuals, so you will find a wide variety of scholarships listed. While you may apply for more than one scholarship, HSC will only fund one scholarship per awarded applicant per academic year.
Program Features
- $2,000 – $5,000 renewable college scholarships
- Elite multi-day leadership training experience led by a team of professionals
- Mentoring by caring adults in similar career paths and access to professional networks
- Membership in an exceptional cohort and network of HSC Scholars and alumni
- Regular communication and guidance by trained professionals and specific assistance for first-generation college students
Minimum Requirements
- Applicants must be of Hispanic origin/descent*,
- Plan to enroll in an accredited two-year or four-year college or university in the United States on a full-time basis throughout the 2012-2013 academic year,
- Hold a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale,
- Reside in Bastrop, Burnet, Caldwell, Hays, Lee, Travis or Williamson Counties, and;
- Are a U.S. citizen or permanent resident with permanent resident ID card or current passport stamped I-551.**
*Applicants of mixed heritage are encouraged to apply as long as one parent is of Hispanic origin.
**HSC may consider funding applicants attending college under the Texas Senate Bill 1528.
Expectations of Selected Scholars
- Maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale
- Attend an accredited college or university full-time (minimum of 12 credit hours a semester)
- Participate in HSC programming including the annual Scholar Leadership Conference
- Regularly thank and update scholarship providers
- Participate in at least 5 hours of community service per semester
