Eligibility Requirements
*Please note that ALL
applicants must meet the following minimum requirements. HSC offers several scholarship programs and
some will have additional criteria.
- Plan to enroll in an
accredited two-year or four-year accredited college or university in the United States
on a full-time basis throughout the 2009-2010 academic year
- Have a cumulative GPA
of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale
- Reside in Bastrop, Burnet,
Caldwell, Hays, Lee, Travis or Williamson counties
- Be of Hispanic origin
- Be a United States
Citizen or a legal permanent resident with permanent resident card or
current passport stamped I-551

- Review the eligibility
requirements and determine the scholarship programs that best fit you from
the list below. While you may select
more than one program from the list on the online application, HSC will
only fund one scholarship per awarded applicant.
- If you meet the
minimum eligibility criteria, click on the link below to create a unique
login and password. Store this
information in a safe place and add

You do not have to complete the application all in one sitting.
- Request a letter of
recommendation from 1-2 recommenders well before the scholarship deadline. Notify your
recommenders to be on the lookout for an email from

be able to complete the electronic recommendation on your behalf. You will receive an automatic email
confirmation once the letters are submitted. Recommenders will not be able to upload
and complete recommendations for you until you complete the entire online
application.

Official
Transcript (For All Applicants)*
You
must submit an official copy of your transcript to qualify for this
scholarship. Transcripts must arrive in
a sealed envelope with your school’s official seal. Be sure to allow 2-3 weeks for the office of the
registrar to compile your transcript.
*Renewal transcripts are not due until June 1 to reflect spring scores.
Financial
Documentation (For All Applicants)
You
must submit a copy of your parents’/guardians’ 2009 federal income tax return
(Form 1040, 1040A or 1040EZ). Send page
1 and 2 only and a copy of all W-2 forms
OR
Submit
a copy of the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) including the
number of dependents in the household and the adjusted gross income. The Student Aid Report (SAR) will suffice to meet this requirement.
Proof of
Residency Status for Non-U.S. Citizens/Non-Residents
Submit one copy of both sides of your Permanent
Resident Card (valid I-551)

One
copy of your notice of action from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration
Services (SCIS).

- Be a university
student pursuing a degree in nursing
- Plan to enroll in an
accredited two-year or four-year college or university in the United States
on a full-time basis throughout the 2010-2011 academic year
Dolores
Catholic Church Montopolis Community Scholarship Fund in Partnership with St.
Edward’s University & HSC Scholarship
Qualifications
- Be a graduating high
school senior residing in Travis County and living with the Montopolis Area
boundaries: South of the Colorado River,
East of Pleasant Valley Road, West of Highway 183, North of Highway 71
- Student and his/her
parents are to be involved in the community through: Parish involvement
or/and Leadership training or/and Other
- NOTE: The scholarship
recipients chosen and his/her parents must actively participate in the
Dolores Church scholarship fundraising efforts
State Representative Irma Rangel Memorial Scholarship/HSC Scholarship
Qualifications
- Be Pre-Law students
attending Concordia University, St. Edward's University, Southwestern University, Texas
State University or The University of Texas at Austin (all undergraduate degrees
qualify)
- Be classified as a
Junior (60-89 hours) or Senior (90+ hours)
- Seniors must plan to take the LSAT exam
during the 2010-2011 academic year and Juniors must plan to take it during the 2011-2012 academic year

- Be an active
participant in the Hispanic Physicians’ Preceptorship Program
- Plan to enroll as a
full-time student throughout the 2010-2011 academic year at The University

school senior or university student who is an active Episcopalian

applicant is a member, and (2) another adult that is not a family member
